  • COVID-19 PANDEMIC HEALTH POLICY
    To keep myself & clients protected during this time here is what is required to be serviced: 1. If feeling sick or displaying the following symptoms: coughing, runny nose, sore throat, fever, or breathing difficulites. Please stay home to heal. Upon arriving if you have any symptoms, I will kindly ask you to leave and appointment will be CANCELLED. You may reschedule for a later time. 2. You MUST wear a mask that loops around the ears not around the back of the head during the ENTIRE duration of the service. 3. I do not require you to wear gloves but you are welcomed to please bring your own hand sanitizer. I will also have hand sanitizer for you to use UPON ARRIVAL! 4. I have a contactless thermometer I will be using to check your temperature. If you are above 99.6 F. We will have to reschedule your appointment until you are recovered. Your health is priority. 5. IF YOU DO NOT ABIDE BY THESE PRECAUTIONS I WILL HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO CANCEL YOUR APPOINTMENT. OUR SAFETY IS PRIORITY. Thank you for understanding we all have an important part to play with keeping each other healthy and aware.
  • Business Hours.
    Sunday & Wednesday: Closed Monday, Tuesday, Thursday-Saturday: 9am-6pm If you have any questions or concerns I am available to speak during business hours. Please allow 24 hours for a response. Thank you for understanding after hours is my personal time.
  • Service Deposit Information.
    NO DEPOSIT=NO APPOINTMENT A deposit is REQUIRED with ALL SERVICES and is NON- REFUNDABLE. During checkout you will be required to send deposit online or via PayPal. The deposit is TOWARDS your service, hair purchase, and FINAL PAYMENT is due after service EXACT CASH or PayPal only please.
  • Required New Client Form
    A New Client Form is required before boking your service. This will allow me to get to know your hair needs so that I can give you the best service. After filling out the form, you are welcomed to book your appointment. No need to wait for my approval unless you have a concerning matter such as short hair.   • Would you like a convenience booking?
    If you would love for me to book your appointment for you, a non-refundable/transferable convenience fee of $20 and your service deposit is required. Please send BOTH payments via PayPal to "TheCurlyFashionista" only. The convenience fee is NOT TOWARDS YOUR FINAL PAYMENT but YOUR DEPOSIT IS. You're still required to fill out the New Client Form on your own. (Please see the above question for the link.) I only accept convenience bookings through my website via email so that I may keep your information organized. I will not be accepting appointments through any other platforms and I will direct you to my website. Please send your available date, time, prefered hair color, & location request. Thank you for understanding!
  • My Location and do you offer traveling services?
    Currently I work from my home in Sheffield Lake. At this time, I am no longer offering traveling services. If you will need an on site booking for a special occasion such as a wedding please email me with this matter (travel fee will be applied). Address will be sent after you book your appointment if service will be held at my location.
  • Running Late Policy.
    Please arrive on time for your service. I understand life can happen so it is important to commuicate with me if you may be running behind. I have a 15 minute grace period but a $20 LATE FEE will be applied to the final service if you arrive over the grace time. If I still haven't heard from you after 20 mins I will have to cancel your appointment and you must reschedule for another date. Thank you for understanding we must start on time and respect each other's time.
  • Make sure you know what you WANT.
    When arriving please DO NOT ask for another service I offer. You will have to reschedule your appointment. DO NOT ask to change the SIZE of the style upon arrival, your appointment will be cancelled. Changing it will result in a change of TIME and HAIR COST which is not fair to my time or my other clients.
  • NO CALL and NO SHOW
    Please understand my time is vaulable and doing a NO CALL/NO SHOW represents you do not respect my time and my kindness is taken for granted. Because of this I will no longer be your stylist.
  • What if I do not LOVE my style? Refund Policy.
    Please contact me as SOON AS POSSIBLE, within 24 hours of service. I will be happy to work with you! If it is past the 24 hours, you will need to book a maintenance appointment. Note there will be NO REFUNDS or CREDIT GIVEN, meaning non-transferable to another service. ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
  • One of my twists are unraveling and I just got them done. What can I do?
    I am all about OPEN HONESTY. Just contact me right when it happens within 24 HOURS and I will fix it for you within a few days. Due to some styles being delicate, loose twists may occur depending on your activity and your maintaince.
  • Can you service looser texture hair (Caucasians, Asian, Spanish, or Indian)?"
    As of right now I only specialize in kinky and curly clients. Indiviual Goddess Locs are available for all hair textures.
  • What form of Payment do you take?
    Final service payment must be accepted safely through PayPal (paypal.me/thecurlyfashionista), or you must have Exact Cash ONLY. Cash is preferred! Thank you for understanding.
  • What if Service runs FAST or SLOWER?
    Durations for all Services is an ESTIMATE. Time length of style depends on hair thickness, length, and head size so please understand ART takes time. Please try not to have any obligations. Please have HALF of your day cleared! Services usually do not go over 8 hours unless you have really thick long hair then the service is 10 hours MAX.
  • Is hair provided with service?
    Yes I do! Hair is offered with all services to save you the hassle of finding it at your local beauty store! If you request a special hair color, it will be an extra fee due to the demand and price of colored hair.
  • Short Hair, Thinning Edges, & Hair Health?
    All clients hair must be 4 inches or longer all around head. PLEASE! *shaved sides are negationable but you MUST INFORM AND book a FREE FACETIME Consultation or send a photo. You may recieve a discount for SHAVED SIDES, if you do not inform me before your appointment you will no longer be eligilble for the discount. If you show up with hair not abiding to my policy I will have to cancel the appointment, and deposit will be non-refundable. Thin Hair or you have Health Concerns such as Psoriasis, PLEASE LET ME KNOW BEFORE SERVICE.
  • Booking an appointment on a Holiday?
    If you need service on holidays that are open please expect to be charge time in a half for the appointment.
  • Shampooing? Blow Drying?
    Please come with your hair freshly washed. You may come with your hair blowed dried but a blowing drying service is included within your service at no extra fee to you. I sadly DO NOT OFFER SHAMPOOING SERVICES at this time *Please note this will increase the service duration if needed a blow dry.
  • I know you take pictures of your work, what if I do not feel comfortable with my picture being taken?"
    I completely understand! I do love taking pictures to document my work so it would be prefered. For clients that do not want pictures taken I do only take pictures of MY WORK and not your face if that makes you more comfortable. You may cover your face. If you are booking a service with me, please be prepared for me to take pictures or short videos, thank you. :) When booking you are agreeing to pictures being taken of my work!
  • What does maintenance routine look like?
    PLEASE! In order to preserve your style for as long as you can, wear a SATIN SCARF OR BONET to bed. This will maintain your style longer and help keep your hair from breaking off from your cotton pillow cases. Based on your scalp and style, I suggest oiling it when it feels itching or every couple of days. In terms of washing, it will be to your desire I just suggest limited washing because it will make your style older. I offer Marley & Passion Twists Maintenance for the Queen who wants to spend a little more time with their style but would love a refresher! HAIR MUST STILL BE IN YOUR HEAD! RETWIST IS STRICTLY FOR the perimeter of the head! THIS IS NOT A FULL HEAD SERVICE! You can find this under "Book Online."
  • May I bring an extra guest?
    The client being service is permitted only! Thank you!
  • What form of Payment do you take?
    All deposit must be submitted online through Paypal or Credit/Debit Card. I recieve prefered Cash & Paypal for final payment.
  • How long should my hair be for service?
    All clients hair must be 4 inches or longer all around head. PLEASE! *shaved sides are negationable but you MUST INFORM AND SEND A PHOTO FIRST. If you show up with hair not abiding to my policy I will have to cancel the appointment, and deposit will be non-refundable.
  • Do you offer braiding services?
    No, I do not. I specialize in twisting styles at this time.
  • How about discounts, promotions, or customer loyalty?"
    YES! We all love a great deal. I sometimes run different promotions during the seasons. Just keep a lookout for it on my website and follow me on instagram @the.curlyfashionista. Indefinatly coupons: 10% Student Discount. Must show a VALID Student ID. Snap a picture of it and send it to me via messenger.
  • How long have you been in business?
    I offically started my business in April of 2018. I started practicing hair at the age of 10 and started proctective styling at the age of 19. I am passionate about my craft and I am always learning new services everyday!
  • Do you take young clients?
    I do! Ages 12 and up only!
  • I know you take pictures of your work, what if I do not feel comfortable with my picture being taken?"

For clients that do not want pictures taken I do only take pictures of MY WORK and not your face if that makes you more comfortable. You may cover your face.   • Why do you call your clients Queens?
    Because they are! My goal is to make sure you leave my chair with a bright smile on your face. I see you as royalty and with my styles you will feel that which you already are!
